a little tiny setback

Got a call on Friday, August 25 that we hadn't gotten into PGN until August 16. I immediately started crying since I thought we had gone in August 2 or 3. Real bummer- Well, maybe an awesome reviewer just had to get his desk cleared off so that we could slide right onto the top of his desk. Who knows. But that was stinky to learn. Movin' on.

Surprise! New video today!

I looked outside my door for a package (waiting for some things that were ordered) and what was on my doorstep?? A new video of Gabriella!! It was taken the day of the last photos, which was July 25. She is absolutely precious. She is smiling, beautiful and OURS (almost!) They think she is starting to teeth, is healthy, naps in the a.m. and p.m. and sleeps through the night. I WANT HER HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

medical update

And more news today! We got a medical update...well...the update was from July 5, so its a little old by now. But the word was that she was healthy, weighed 14.8 pounds, was 67 cm tall and had head circum. of 41cm. They also said that they were changing her formula because they didn't feel she was gaining enough weight. (She gained 1.8 pounds over 2 months- not too bad, it seems).
That's it for now!

oh, good news yesterday....

We received a packet of government forms from the American Consulate in CHINA, hearing that we were approved for an adoption in China. Interesting, but I don't remember trying to adopt from China??!!!! Barry wonders what we'll name our Chinese daughter. Hm....how our family is growing!!! Hahahahahah!!! Our social worker said that it appears our INS approval was cabled to china accidentally. The errors in international adoption continue!!
Heather, do you need these forms??!!

New pictures!!!

I just received new pictures of our beautiful little girl. She is absolutely gorgeous- of course, would you expect me to say anything else???? My heart is a little sad though- she looks like a little girl, not a baby anymore. When, oh when, will we bring our Gabriella home???

A little update today!

I emailed back and forth to our Social Worker today, originally finding out that she hadn't heard anything about our case, even after having been on vacation for a week. I told her I would "try not to blow a gasket" that there was no news- and that I had hoped to hear we were in PGN and might even get new pics since it had been 2.5 months since we last got pics. Anyway, by the end of the day, she found out that our case just got out of Family Court on Friday (this was 6 weeks- pretty long for the standard- what else is new....). Anyway, we are now ready to be submitted to the final review stage... the dreaded PGN. That is going to happen this week. It could be weeks or months....only the shadow knows....I, of course, am begging God that we get out of PGN miraculously quick. Gabriella is looming towards 7 months old already.... (just as a reminder, Antonio's case was in the PGN for 147 days...5 months....but some get out in 2-3 weeks).
I was also told that we are to expect new pictures in the next day or two!!!! Yipee!!!!! I can't wait to see her face again- I am sure she looks so different after 2.5 months! God PLEASE let us get out of PGN quickly! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! It's weird how I can miss her when I haven't even met her.
