DNA results are in!

Positive DNA match between Gabriella and her birth mother!!!! This means one more step closer to getting Gabriella! I am so happy!

Praise God!!

Yesterday we found out that we received another grant from Shaohannah's Hope, for $3000!!!! God has been so good! That makes $15,500 in grants and gifts for Gabriella!!!

And today we found out that we are going to be receiving a video of Gabriella, too! Yahoo! Can't wait to see her again "live"!

Great news today!!!

I just found out that Gabriella's DNA test and family court interview was scheduled for 8am this morning!!! This is FANTASTIC news!! Progress!! Yahoo! We need to confirm that it actually really happened, as sometimes the birth mother's can't make it, etc. But, Lord willing, this next step is done!!!

Now, we will wait for the DNA results to come by mail, for the social summary report to be written up by the Guatemalan social worker. The US embassy will then give us a "Visa Pre-Approval". Once this is done, we will be submitted into the "PGN", which is the final approval stage! (We might be submitted to PGN before the "pre-approval" comes, but we know we would be kicked out of PGN until it is obtained).

I LOVE $420 charges to our credit card!!!

We saw on our charge card that our DNA testing was charged last Wednesday, June 7! We were waiting for the charge and here it's been done! Yahoo!!! This MIGHT mean our DNA has been done, or is about to be done! Yipee yahoo!

Hello friends and Family!

Thought I would create this blog so that you can follow along as our adoption journey continues. Our beautiful daughter, Gabriella, is 5 months old today. Happy 5 month birthday beautiful!
We are currently waiting for our DNA and Family Court hearing to occur. This will be when the birthmother comes and they match DNA between her and Gabriella and they also interview her to write up a social summary. We don't know when this will occur yet- it could have even occurred. It was authorized a week ago, so hopefully it will be soon!
This is one step closer to bringing her home! Yahoo!!!
