some good news today!

Hello!!
Well, after (28 days) of waiting to find out if we got Visa Pre-Approval from the US Embassy in Guatemala (need this to get in and or out of PGN- the final review stage) I emailed them. Yep, emailed our government entity in Guatemala! And guess what? They had a quick response within a couple of hours and an actual response by the end of the day! AND, the news was that we were issued and GIVEN the pre-approval on Tuesday!! This means our lawyer went on Tuesday and got it!! This means we should just about be ready to go into PGN!!! Yahoo!!!!!!!!! I don't know if the social workers report from the birthmother's interview has been released yet- it should have been by now, but don't know, since I didn't even get this info from the agency, but from the embassy! Thank you embassy for a timely, FAVORABLE response! And they didn't have any issues or objections with it, so that was great news too! Yipee!!

This last week we received a video of Gabriella. It was filmed on Antonio's birthday- May 10th. She is absolutely beautiful and healthy, bright eyed and inquisitive. We all love watching it- today Antonio was watching it and said "beautiful". Guess he is picking up on my lingo!

'Tis a slight bummer regarding our DNA results. The lab that issued the report had some errors in our name and in Gabriella's birth mother's name (I was the one that caught these things), so now they have to re-issue a report. This just means that things are delayed a tad again. AARgh! Do the delays ever end??!!
